By booking a tour and making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Crucially, you must understand and acknowledge the following:

Informal Service: The services provided are informal. We are not a registered travel agency or an official tour operator. We are providing a personal, experience-based service.
2. Assumption of Risk and Client Responsibility
Cycling is an activity with inherent risks. By participating in a tour with us, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for your own safety and well-being.
Inherent Dangers: You understand that cycling involves risks, including but not limited to: falls, collisions with vehicles or pedestrians, road hazards, equipment failure, physical exertion, and the effects of weather. These risks can result in personal injury, property damage, or even death.
No Insurance Provided: sadeqbikes.com does NOT provide any form of insurance. This includes, but is not limited to, health, accident, travel, liability, or equipment insurance.
Your Responsibility for Insurance: It is your sole responsibility to secure comprehensive travel and medical insurance that covers cycling activities before participating in any tour. We strongly recommend you do so.
Health and Fitness: You certify that you are in good physical health and have the necessary fitness level to participate in the cycling tour you have booked. You are responsible for choosing a tour that matches your abilities.
Safety and Conduct: You agree to wear a helmet at all times while cycling. You are responsible for ensuring your bicycle is in safe, working condition. You must obey all Portuguese traffic laws and follow basic safety etiquette.

Our liability will be limited to the total amount you have paid for the service booked. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

4. Booking and Payment
Bookings can be made via the contact form or email provided on our website.
A tour is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
Payment methods will be communicated to you during the booking process. All prices are listed in Euros (€).
For multi-day tours, the specific tour description page will clearly state whether accommodation is included in the tour price. If we book accommodation on your behalf, you acknowledge that we are subject to the hotel’s specific terms and availability.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while also protecting us from non-recoverable costs associated with planning your tour.
Important Note on Multi-Day Tours: The standard policy below applies primarily to single-day tours. For multi-day tours involving accommodation booked by us, a stricter cancellation policy will almost always apply. This is because hotel bookings often require non-refundable upfront payments. The specific cancellation policy for any multi-day tour will be clearly stated on its tour details page and will override the standard policy below.
Cancellation by You (the Client):
Standard Policy:
Cancellations made more than 30 days before the scheduled tour date will receive a 90% refund (a 10% administration fee is retained).
Cancellations made between 14 and 30 days before the scheduled tour date will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before the scheduled tour date, or in the case of a no-show, are not eligible for a refund.
Policy for Tours with Accommodation: Any refund for a tour involving accommodation will be subject to the hotel’s own cancellation terms. Any non-refundable deposits or payments made for your accommodation will be deducted from any potential refund you may be eligible for.
Cancellation by Us (sadeqbikes.com):
We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any time due to extreme weather conditions, guide illness, or any other unforeseen circumstances that would make the tour unsafe.
In the event of a cancellation by us, you will be offered the choice of rescheduling the tour for another available date or receiving a 100% full refund of all monies paid to us.
6. Code of Conduct and Right to Terminate Service
The safety and enjoyment of the tour are our highest priorities. As a participant, you agree to adhere to a standard of conduct that ensures the well-being of yourself, your guide, and any other participants.
Follow the Guide’s Leadership: You must follow the tour leader’s instructions and safety advice at all times, especially concerning the route, pacing, and potential hazards. Disregarding the leader’s guidance can compromise the safety of the entire group.
Sportsmanship and Respect: You are expected to behave with respect and good sportsmanship towards your guide, fellow cyclists (if in a group), and the local community. A cooperative and positive attitude is essential for a successful tour.
Safe Riding: You must not engage in any behaviour that is unsafe, reckless, or puts yourself or others at risk.
Right to Terminate Participation:
The tour leader reserves the absolute right to terminate your participation in the tour, effective immediately and without a refund, if your conduct is deemed to be:
Aggressive, hostile, or abusive.
Insubordinate or consistently rebellious against the guide’s safety instructions.
A danger to yourself or others.
Seriously disruptive to the tour’s progress.
If the tour leader is forced to terminate your participation, our duty of care towards you will cease immediately. You will be responsible for your own safety and for arranging and paying for your own transportation from the point of termination.
7. Governing Law
This agreement and any dispute arising from it shall be governed by the laws of Portugal. Any legal action shall be brought in the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.
