Who is Sadeq Bikes?

Olá, I’m Sadeq, a 31-year-old cyclist living in the heart of sunny Lisbon. For the past six years, I’ve been exploring Portugal by bike. I’ve cycled around 50,000 kilometers, covering every type of terrain this country has to offer, from the cobbled streets of Lisbon to the quiet countryside of the Alentejo, the steep green climbs of the North, and the ocean roads of the Algarve.

I ride year-round and I’m part of four local cycling teams. Through these communities, I’ve shared countless kilometers, learned from others, and supported new riders along the way. I’m also a committed advocate for cycling safety and believe that Portuguese cities, especially Lisbon, can and should become more bike-friendly.

My Cycling Experience in Portugal

Over the years, I’ve ridden Portugal’s iconic national roads like the N1, N2, N3, N4, N8, N9, N10 and N114, many of them multiple times. My rides have taken me through remote villages, mountain ranges, cork forests, and coastlines. I’ve slept in fire stations, rural hotels, eaten with local families, and shared tables with strangers who quickly became friends.

If you’ve seen my Strava heat map, you’ll know just how much of the country I’ve covered. Every line represents a real ride, a story, and a deeper connection with the land and the people who live here.

Why Ride with Me?

You’re not just signing up for a bike ride. You’re riding with someone who knows this country by heart and wants you to feel part of it too.
When you ride with me, you’re not just following a map. You’re connecting with local life, traditions, and places that aren’t in guidebooks. From stopping for homemade cheese and bread to chatting with locals in small villages, I make sure every ride is more than just a route — it’s an experience.

I’ve cycled with people of all ages and experience levels, from first-time bike tourers to seasoned riders looking for a challenge. Whether you’re into road, gravel, or mountain biking, I take the time to understand your riding style, your abilities, and what you want from your time on the bike.

Every tour I create is tailored. It could be a relaxed loop with coffee and a traditional lunch or a multi-day ride through regions you won’t find in guidebooks. I understand what cyclists expect: smooth planning, beautiful routes, good food, local insight, safety, and space to enjoy the ride.

Your safety and comfort come first. I’m in the process of completing CPR and First Aid training to make sure every ride is prepared, not just for the terrain, but for unexpected situations. I plan each route with care, factoring in road conditions, rest stops, and the best local spots to recharge.

Let’s Ride

If you’re ready to experience Portugal by bike, I’d love to ride with you. Whether it’s a custom tour, a weekend escape, or a day ride around Lisbon, I’ll design something that fits your pace, interests, and curiosity.

Let’s make it happen.
